In 1998 the owners of the Mudhouse, a local cyber coffeehouse,
elected to fill a niche market by developing a leasable computer
oriented conference facility. They contacted Stoneking/von Storch
Architects who had designed the Mudhouse in 1994. The small
but smart space, offers video conferencing, computer presentations,
LCD projection and teleconferencing. S/vS designed the space
and selected the furniture featuring Falcon lightweight folding
tables and stackable side chairs; Herman Miller Aeron chairs;
motorized projection screen and full height pinup wall. Visitors
can be networked via a LAN during their visit and can access
the Internet from any seat via a distributed premise wiring
arrangement. |
